hi all

I am new to embroidery and to digitizing, I downloaded the free version of embrid, I haven't got a clue as where to start just to create any simple design just to get me started, is there an easy way just to get the wheels moving on my new adventure.

Thanks to anyone who replies.

The first thing to do is find someone who offers classes.  You can't learn to digitize and sew on a web site.  There is just to much to learn.  Once you get the basics down, then you can learn valuable tips on sites such as this one.  I have been doing this for about 7 years and I am still learning.  I wish you luck.

I am new to digitizing as well - I was trying to find video tutorials on this forum and got a link to YouTube: - Click Here

I also search the net and found that there are so many digitizers offering cheap digitizing - I tried one of them and found him to be good - here is the email id: - usd2per1000stitches@gmail.com.

So, you now have 2 options, either learn and digitize yourself - which is of course not impossible but difficult.

You could just send your designs and concentrate on selling.

The choice is yours.

I'm brand new to embroidery and digitizing and looking for a good, affordable program myself.

Here are 2 I found that give you a free trial period.

Embird - http://redmoongardens.com/embirdinfo.html

Affordable and doesn't seem too complicated.

Masterworks Lite - http://www.designersgallerysoftware.com/trials/

Demo for 30 days.  Sufficient for basics.  More than I can spend to buy the whole program now though.

I know almost nothing about digitizing and am learning on my own.
I'd love direction to a good source (book, web site, etc) that gives a good explanation - as in how to even start.
I've been to YouTube....

Eventually, yes, I hope to pay for lessons but for many of us, it's not affordable on start up.
