I have been trying to setup a design using DecoStudio, on a 270 cap frame.

When Ido a sewout the design starts to sew the front design on the side. Can anyone help me get the design sequence correct, or just help?

Hi Bandit,

The "front" part of the design is sewing on the side because your design it self has the start and end point in the middle. See Image 1.

You need to make your start and end point in the midding of the "front" logo. This is where the machine will start and if you center it to your "front" logo all you need to do is ensure the need is in the center of the cap and it will sew correctly.

You do this using the "Digitize Auto Start / End Point" option under the menu item Stitch > Auto Start and End.

Click on screen in the center of the "front" logo and it will Start and End in this spot. See Image 2 below.

You also need to space your "side" logo at the correct distance on teh right or left side. Normally that is 120mm from the center of the "front" logo to the center of the "side" logo. See Image 3 below.

Make sure you do a test to ensure the measurements are as above. It may vary depending on the cap style.

In terms of sequence, you have it sewing the side logo first "COLUMBIA MO" then the other logo. You can change this sequence using the Color-Obect List which you can access from the icon on the tool bar OR from View > Color-Object List. (Ctrl L is also the shortcut).

Here you will see the Color Blocks and by expand them open by pressing the + you will see the objects.

In this case, drag the first black block down to the bottom below the last block and it will sew the black COLUMBIA MO last.

I've made those changes to your designs and I will attach them in the next post.

Don't take my changes as gospil! Check them and make sure it will work on your side

Good luck,
Brenden

Got the file, thanks. Now my machine just developed a problem. When I try to sew any design setup like the one you edited, and even the the test file from SWF. The machine acts as if it is going to sew on the left side, but the frame goes to far left, then does a hard return locks up.
