I work with a Tajima TEJT-1501 & have it connected upto the computer directly. Recently my boss has updated the computer & therefore re-loaded Wilcom 21D software. When we input the same Hardware configuration details as was on the old computer, The machine would only read 15% of the design & then throw up an error(data corruption error). I dont understand what has gone wrong when its all worked the same as before. Need help urgently!!!

Hi,

I have had these problems also over the years. You didn't say if the PC was new or the drive reformatted? Either way, you need to check to see if the settings are the same in the device manager as they are in the Wilcom software. I have Toyota's, but the same applies. Check also that the serial ports drivers are OK, i.e. try and update the driver. Try another setting in Wilcom, in fact, try them all!! It can't hurt and I have fixed a problem before by doing that too. Most times it seems to be one setting that seems to be different, try the stop bits and handshake as that can stop it also.

I suppose I should ask if it is a serial port connection? If USB, it could be the machine?

If you have a 2nd serial port try that and go through the settings again.

Don't discount that the port has failed. I bought a PCI serial card for $10 and used that and it works fine, just had to change it to Serial port 3 or 4.

Also, does the machine memory have enough to accept the design? I can have a full memory on mine and still start sewing as the design still sends as the pattern sews out. Found out that by accident one day playing around.

Hope something works for you, I know how frustrating it is when no one knows about the interface from PC to a machine. Especially YOUR PC as they are all different. Not too many people are familiar with how it works.

Cheers

Matt
